At over six minutes long, the video begins by focusing on the four generations of women in Beyoncé’s family, including home video of a 90th birthday party celebrating Jay Z’s grandmother Hattie. In the three minutes leading up to the song “All Night,” Beyoncé delivers an extended monologue. She speaks about all the women in her life who have taught her strength, who have taught her how to turn lemons into lemonade.

Once she begins singing the ultimate track “All Night,” which pertains to reconciliation, restoration and “redemption,” home movies of her, Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy take over.

Beyoncé has previously released stand along videos for “Sorry,” Hold Up” and “Daddy Lessons.”
