Kanye West Dedicates ‘Father Stretch My Hands, Pt.1’ to Kid Cudi

Kanye's kind gesture buries the hatchet.

Kid Cudi expressed dismay earlier this year because he felt high-profile rappers like Kanye West and Drake didn’t adequately champion his career. “These n—-s dont give a f— about me. And they aint f—in’ with me,” he tweeted, just before seeking professional help for “depression and suicidal urges.”

Shortly after Cudi’s Twitter rant, Kanye and Drake fired back at the rapper, then when he realized Cudi might be mentally ill Kanye extended an olive branch.

Drake might still be mad at Cudi, as evidenced by the lyrics of his new song “Two Birds, One Stone,” but for West the September flare-up seems like water under the bridge. Kanye dedicated “Father Stretch My Hands, Pt.1” to Kid Cudi during an L.A. stop of his Saint Pablo Tour.

“So Cudi, he is rehab right now, but he got a number one song on the radio and I want you to sing so he can hear it… Cudi, do you hear them?” asked Yeezy, gesturing to the crowd while he covered Cudi’s verse in his absence. Watch the sweet moment here:
